Dr. Atul Syal, MD

Dr. Atul Syal joined Dr. Kahlon at the Arizona Neurological Institute (ANI) in July of 2000. He is board certified in neurology and is sub-specialized in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology.

Dr. Syal heads ANI’s educational affiliations with Mid-Western University’s Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program in the Department of Neurology. He is a member of the board of directors of the American Heart Association, Arizona chapter. He is also the director of the stroke program at Arrowhead Hospital. He is an active speaker to community groups and professional organizations.

Dr. Syal completed his training in neurology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati Ohio where he also completed a clinical fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology in 1997. He completed his medical degree at the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India in 1988.

Dr. Syal is affiliated with the following hospitals: Arrowhead, Banner Thunderbird, John C. Lincoln, Boswell Memorial, Del Webb Memorial, Banner Estrella, and West Valley Hospital.

Dr. Syal is married with three children and has a special interest in travel, music, and reading.
